Spring Break starts Friday April 12 and goes through the 19th.(Some schools go through the 22nd) If you are like me and looking for activities that won't break the bank, here is a list of all things going on in the area that are free or low cost.

Libraries:

-NOPL-Cicero and North Syracuse are offering their usual story times, as well as several activities geared for teens. They are also having their Sustainable Earth week programs for all ages.

-Liverpool has its usual story time offerings for the week and some special drop in events.

-Salina has a day for building fairy houses, a pirate day and the world of Eric Carle.

Parks and Playgrounds:

-If the weather is nice, I like to take my kids to playgrounds and parks to have picnics and let them play.

-Check out this article about the local parks my kids and I like.

-A bit of a drive, but Green Lakes State Park is having a trout restocking day on Wednesday. It looks like something my kids would like.

-Take a hike at Beaver Lake Nature Center

Other activities:

-Make crafts at home

-Visit Great Northern Mall and the arcade there; or take in a movie.
