Our Family Vacation

Seacoast NH and ME

By Alyssa Knutti August 29, 2019

This past week, my family and I took a vacation to visit my mom who lives in Seacoast NH. We drove and were able to spend some quality time together. Here is a recap of our fun trip. On Friday we visited Ogunquit Beach in Maine. Located about 25 minutes from Portsmouth, NH and north of the Kittery Outlets, Ogunquit is a beautiful beach.

We arrived a little after low tide and stayed for a few hours. It was sunny, and probably 76 degrees. The water was cold, but that didn't stop us from going into the ocean! This was the first time my kids had been in the Atlantic Ocean. There were waves, but they had a blast playing. After enjoying our time there, we drove south to Kittery where there are Premium Outlets. We picked up some shoes for my son and headed back to my mom's house. Friday night was date night for my husband and I, while my mom watched the kids overnight. We stayed in Exeter, NH and enjoyed a beautiful sunset at a restaurant called Sea Dog Brewing Co. The food was delicious and I would definitely go there again. Exeter's main street is a quaint stretch of stores; restaurants and homes. I love it.

On Saturday, we headed back to my mom's. Then we went to a pool and splash pad in Exeter. My kids and husband enjoyed it.  There was also a huge wooden playground that the kids enjoyed. I didn't get a picture of it, but it was located right next to the pool and splash pad. We ate dinner at a restaurant in my mom's town called The Oak House. The food there was amazing.
