20 Low Cost or No Cost activities to do this summer in the North Syracuse area

1. Library summer programs

-A lot of the libraries have programs going the whole summer and bring in special events for FREE!


2. Summer Concert Series

-Baldwinsville and Liverpool both have concert series


3. Attend a Syracuse Mets game on $1 Thursdays. (Ticket prices not included) Get hot dogs and sodas all for $1.


4. Farmers' Markets

-Some markets offer samples as well as $1 items


5. Baldwinsville Public Library Summer Movie Series

-Every Tuesday in July through August 6th (new PG rated movies every week)

6. Regal Cinemas $1 movies every Tuesday and Wednesday through August 21.

7. Summer story times

-Liverpool, Baldwinsville, NOPL-North Syracuse and Cicero, Phoenix and Salina libraries all have story times.

8. Attend any of the many festivals going on.


9. Go Strawberry or other fruit picking


10. Pack a lunch, go to a state or county park and enjoy the day at the beach or hiking.


11. Try out a splash park (most are free or less than $5 per person)


12. Visit the state fair on a Thursday ($1 admission for those 13 and older,  FREE for kids 12 and under)


13. Go to your favorite café or restaurant and sit outside if possible


14. Grill out at a park (if allowed)


15. Make s'mores over a campfire 


16. Some state parks offer free swim lessons 


17. Check out a neighborhood garage sale to get good deals


18. Go out for ice cream


19. Set up a lemonade stand


20. Star gaze.
