This spring has had it's share of rainy days in the CNY area. If you're tired of the rain and looking for things to do indoors to keep your kids occupied, here are 10 ideas.
1. Great Northern Mall-Route 31 in Clay
-There is a tree play area, it's perfect for toddlers and preschoolers.
-Next to the tree play area is the arcade, perfect for older kids and teens
-There is also the cinema, this cold get expensive but if you catch a matinee, it wouldn't be as expensive.
2. Local Libraries
-We are so fortunate to have several libraries in the area.
-Check one out for a story time or to visit their children's area to play.
3. Make crafts or projects
-If you don't want to leave home, find some crafts or draw pictures
-My kids like to make projects from our recycling
4. Bake
-Make cookies, brownies or other treats
-have your children get involved by measuring, or dumping the ingredients, or stirring
-enjoy the yummy treats.
5. Build a Fort
-My kids love to make a fort out of our sectional.
-Grab all the blankets and cushions in the house and make the coolest fort ever!
6. LEGOS or other Building blocks
-Play and create with blocks
-compete to see who has the highest tower
7. Play board games
-Candyland is great for preschoolers
-Mouse trap is great for older kids
-Make up your own game for even more fun.
8. Puzzles
-Work on a puzzle together
-We like cat puzzles in this house
9. Movies at home
-I know screen time is an issue, but every once in awhile, watching movies at home isn't bad.
-Pop some popcorn and catch up on some cartoons
10. Visit a museum
-We like the MOST in Syracuse
-The Everson is also great
