Kids love to learn and want to help. Here are several ways they can learn about Earth Day.
1. Learn about recycling
2. Make crafts from recycled materials
Here is a craft to make a basket out of newspapers.
3. Plant a tree
4. Start a garden or find a community garden
5. Start a compost pile
6. Head to a park or playground and pick up litter (with permission from the park)
7. Visit the OCRRA site in Amboy to see compost piles and mulch
8. Visit the Cicero branch of NOPL for their Earth Week activities this week.
