This week’s featured business is Play2Learn. Play2Learn was established in 2017. Play2Learn is located in Willow Health and Wellness; 3090 Belgium Road in Baldwinsville. Owner and Creator Kelly Vincentini created Play2Learn for babies, toddlers and preschoolers. From their website “Early childhood is a critical period of brain development, in fact about 85% of brain growth happens in the first three years of life.”
Play2Learn teaches weekday and weekend family classes to children and their caregivers during the early childhood years. There are three classes children and their caregivers can experience. Baby Sensorimotor, Mini Movers or Tot Time, depending on the child’s age/abilities. These weekly classes offer the caregiver a chance to bond with the little ones as they engage in age appropriate structured and unstructured play. The play at Play2Learn is child centered and child directed. It is taught by qualified professionals and loving mothers. Each class offers a weekly theme to promote language development. The lessons include music, motor play, sensory play, pretend play, process ART and more. The classes are designed to be a social experience for adults and children. Play2Learn also offers drop in monthly events; like Open Gym & Art Studio for toddlers and preschoolers; and a weekly summer camp. The families at Play2Learn become members of a private Facebook community where they share information, ‘playspiration’ for home, and weekly interactive bedtime stories.
When Kelly first created Play2Learn, her two girls were ‘her why’, but now that she has met countless loving families and their children have become ‘her why’. She says the best part of working for her business is that Syracuse deserves quality programming for little ones during the early childhood years. To Kelly, what she likes most about being a business in this area is being able to provide family friendly opportunities in her own childhood community where she was raised.
